Welcome

Join me on a walk along my path, I hope this inspires you. We all have a stories to tell and more to live into.

Daniel Brafman

I am writing this as a 62 years old.  I’d like to share when I was 48: I was setting personal best times/records in triathlons, having raced nearly 50 triathlons within a 9 year period. During this time of dedicated training, racing, and coaching I studied and implemented the science and programming of the “best” coaches from around the world. My strict compliance resulted in me being a poster child for what may be referred to as a fit sick person. My fatigue was overwhelming, as I often needed 4 naps just to make it through my day. Initially, my strategy was to work harder and “enjoy” more coffee…this is considered “normal” for successful endurance athletes. After all, the true bragging right was “he who can suffer the most, wins the most”.

My C.H.E.K Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach studies shifted my values: being a Triathlete became less important than restoring my whole health. By integrating what I learned to be a Holistic Lifestyle Practitioner I developed lenses for understanding “Holistic Health”.

I began to see with greater clarity in ways I had not seen before: High performance fitness lifestyle is not about health. Dropping my identity as an Elite Triathlete, while at the same time making High Vitality Health the most important way to live my life was a process.  I kept my racing and training central for 2 1/2 more years. I raced my last season at 51 and my national ranking was 17th in my age group according to USA Triathlon.

Learning to be present with my whole personal and interpersonal experiences has allowed me to cultivate more energy, focus, and ability to implement lifestyle strategies which continue to support my next level desires. I also, make better choices regarding how I spend my time and with who.

The progression of healing and advancing began on the physical level: first Orthopedic, Hormonal, Digestive, and Neural healing. The next level was the “Limbic-Emotional” healing, calming and refining my neural networks, which led to exponential growth regarding my cognitive abilities. My abilities continue to advance, making it exciting and easy to take on and integrate more kinds of information, and systems of evaluation. I progressively find it easier to appreciate more perspectives inter-personally, which elevates my communication as a “heart listener”. I have also noticed a much greater capacity to hold space and regulate myself when triggered, allowing me to respond (rather react) to stressors.

As a healer and coach, what truly sets me apart is, all along the way I have walked the talk, learning, performing, transforming, and teaching. When you are my client I will begin with thorough assessments of your past and current training history and health, directing the programming toward your specific goals/desired life. We will cultivate a working relationship, that will allow us to share a process of healing, growth, and exceptional well-being. Thriving in the complex world we reside in is truly an extraordinary feat.

I still love working with athletes, and other “High Performers” and have been able to integrate Health with the drive to be a high achiever. Whether you simply want to feel better in a self sustaining way, or compete for a finish line, I am here to assess, connect/relate, guide, and celebrate your progress.
